Native or Local Goats (Capra Hircus Aegagrus) is a sub species of wild goats scattered in Southwest Asia and Europe. Goat is a medium-sized ruminant animal species. Male and female wild goat have a pair of horns, but only male has bigger horns. Generally, goats have beards, convex forehead, tail slightly upward, and the most hairy straight and coarse. Length of the wild goat’s body, not including the tail, is 1.3 meters - 1.4 meters, while the tail 12 inches - 15 inches. Female weight 50 kilograms - 55 pounds, while males can reach 120 pounds. Wild goats spread from Spain eastward to India, and from India to the north to Mongolia and Siberia. Preferred habitat is an area of ​​rocky mountains. Goats have been cultivated since 8000 to 9000 years ago.
In the wild, goats live in groups of 5 to 20. In their journey looking for food, goat group is led by the oldest female goat. Male Goat serves as a security guard for the group. They actively seek for food the whole day. Its main food is grass and foliage. Goat is different with sheep.

Breeding.
Goat breed with childbirth. Goat can give birth to two to three cubs, after pregnant for 150 to 154 days. Adult is achieved at the age of 8 months until 1 year. Within a year, the goat can give birth three times in 2 years.

Goat’s Types:
Peanut Goat. It is the first local goat seen in local areas. It is easily spotted as it has small body. Both female and Male have Gumba. Guma in male is about 60 centimeters to 65 centimeters while females only at 56 centimeters. Male can easily reach 25 pounds in weight, while the female only at 20 pounds. They have steady ears also soft and short furs. Both females and males have two short horns.
This species is the largest and is also called the local goats. It can be easily and quickly breed as it enter productive age in the age of 15-18 months. It is suitable to breed them as the female tend to have more than one baby at single time. Peanut Goat is easy to breed as they were able to get food on their own. Ettawa Goat.
The name of Ettawa Goat is often called as Jamnapari goat because it originally from Jamnapari, a region in India. Precisely Jumna Pari Goat or Jamnapari take the name of the river Jamna (Jamna par) in Uttar Pradesh, India which is a lot of goats there. Jamnapari goats are also widely available in Agra, Mathura and Etawa area in Uttar Pradesh, Bhind and Morena in Madhya Pradeshi area. Etawa known in Southeast Asia as a dual-purpose type ie goat dairy and meat producers. Jamnapari was first imported to Indonesia since 1953 from Etawa region, India. But believed by Balitnak goats entered in Indonesia around 1931 at the Dutch colonial period. In local areas Ettawa Goat has been breeding with Saanen goats to produce milk-producing crosses to produce 1.5 to 3 liters of milk a day.

Alpin Goat.
Derived from the Swiss Alps, this type of goat existence spread throughout mainland Europe. The characteristics of Alpine goats and medium-sized ears pointing upward with the dominant white coat color, black, brown. The signs are having fur color varies from white to black. Color face no white lines on the nose. There are horns and some are not horned. Same height as the large and Saanen goats. Including dairy goats that much. Saanen Goats.
Saanen Valley of Switzerland came from the west. Is a type of goat largest in Switzerland. Difficult to grow in the tropics because of its sensitivity to the sun. Toggenburg Goats.
Derived from Toggenburg Valley (northeast region Switzerland). Goat AGLO Nugian.
Comes from the Nubian region (Northeast Africa). Distinctive hanging ears and a large udder, hair color black, red, brown, white or a combination of those colors. males weigh 90 kg, females 70 kg. Milk production at 700 kg / ms lactation.

Beetal Goat .
Derived from Indian Punjab, Rawalpindi and Lahore (Pakistan). Thought to be the result of a cross between a goat Etawa with local goats because their physical traits closely resembles Etawa. Milk production at 190 kg / ms lactation.

Gembrong Goat.
This type of goats in the village hana Bugbug, kidnapped and Bunutan East Coast of Bali. Estimated to come from the descendants of Angora goats, or of the white fluffy cashmere goats. Boer Goats.
